AfriPolicyCover information

Privacy Policy

Read how AfriPolicyCover handles technical logs, onsite search and production-only Google Tag Manager while collecting no quote, health or financial data.

AfriPolicyCover currently has no quote form, provider redirect or marketing signup. The deployed site loads Google Tag Manager as a controlled delivery point for measurement tags, as explained below.

Information involved in a visit

Hosting and security systems may process technical information such as an IP address, request time, browser details and requested URL for delivery, security and fault diagnosis.

  • No insurance quote data is requested
  • No health or financial profile is requested
  • An onsite search phrase can form part of the requested URL and technical logs, so it must not contain personal or policy information

Google Tag Manager and measurement

On the deployed www.afripolicycover.com site, each public page requests the AfriPolicyCover Google Tag Manager container from googletagmanager.com. Tag Manager is a delivery mechanism: the information processed and whether cookies or similar identifiers are used depend on the tags configured in that container. Container publishing and consent settings are managed separately from this website code and require their own review.

  • Localhost and automated test views suppress the container so they do not create measurement traffic
  • Site content and navigation do not depend on Google Tag Manager
  • The current site does not ask visitors to enter quote, health, policy or financial details
  • Advertising or optional measurement tags must not be enabled without an appropriate purpose, disclosure and consent review

Purpose and retention

Technical records should be limited to operating, securing and improving the service, retained only as long as reasonably needed for those purposes and protected against unauthorised access.

Future forms, tags and provider links

Before an additional measurement or advertising tag, form or provider destination is enabled, this policy and the relevant on-page notice must explain the responsible party, data fields, purpose, destination, safeguards and choices.

Your privacy rights

South African privacy rights may include asking about personal information, requesting access or correction and raising a concern with the Information Regulator, subject to applicable law.
